A reasonable start has begun in the production of the winter vegetables - thank you cabbages, thank you broccoli.
You can see I've had a bit of leaf damage from the pesky cabbage moth caterpillars. I didn't end up using the Dipel, instead persevered with checking each leaf and pulling off the caterpillars. I kind of regret that stubborn streak. I think the plants may have thanked me for using the Dipel, which is a product that contains a naturally occuring bacteria that attacks only caterpillars. Anyhoo...thank you food crop ...keep growing. We're over the worst of the caterpillar season, the plants are established and energy is going into production of the edible bits.
